Another Green Monday: Sign up for team Down To Earth at the Spokane River Clean-Up on Saturday!

One of the most beloved community events, the 9th Annual Spokane Spokane River Clean-Up is this Saturday, October 1st. We need team leaders and registrants. Last year over 800 people volunteered and the final count was nearly 6 tons of trash collected (11,982 pounds) of which 2 tons (4,092 pounds) was recycled.

From Friends Of The FallsEach year, the trash tallies grow as more and more folks show up and cover more and more areas along the Spokane River shoreline. A growing list of groups and organizations, like high schools, churches, whitewater groups, service clubs and others sign up too, each taking advantage of the Clean-Up as a way to give back to the community and beautify the river.
